Daily Harvest is known for offering good clean food that is delivered right to your doorstep and can be prepared in minutes. What started out as a convenient way to stock your freezer with healthy smoothies on-the-go, Daily Harvest has expanded their food options to make sticking to healthy habits easier than ever.
As a Daily Harvest ambassador, I get to test out new items right as they hit the online shelves. In the four years I’ve been working with this company, I can honestly say that their products just keep getting better and better.

What makes Daily Harvest unique?
What makes Daily Harvest unique is that they work directly with farmers to create the most nutrient-dense and flavorful ingredients. As these foods are harvested at their peak and flash frozen, the amount of nutrients that are retained can surpass even the produce that you might buy fresh. In other words, freezing produce at its optimal state not only preserves the quality of the fruits and vegetables, but the nutrients as well.
Even though Daily Harvest promotes each item as a meal, I find that there are times extra nutrients need to be added to round out a well-balanced combination of protein, healthy fats and fiber (carbohydrates).
Here are some of my favorite current picks from Daily Harvest and my guide to turning them into a complete meal!
Smoothies
Smoothies are the company’s flagship item and I love that they’ve stayed true to their original flavors because they are delicious! Some of my favorites include:
- Strawberry + Peach – add handful of leafy greens, protein, healthy fat
- Acai + Cherry – add protein, healthy fat
- Mint + Cacao – add protein
- Carrot + Cinnamon – add protein
- Blueberry + Hemp – add protein
Protein sources would include: plain, Greek yogurt, high-quality plant-based protein powder, silken tofu
Healthy fat sources include: nut butter or avocado

Daily Harvest Mylk
This is a new concept for the brand that can be used multiple ways! Blend it up in a smoothie, add to an oat bowl, or blend with water for a refreshing beverage. What I love most about this convenient nut milk option is that there are no added fillers, preservatives or sugar.
Flatbreads
These are probably my favorite item of Daily Harvest at the moment. They are delicious and substantial enough for a quick meal during the day, or a lazy dinner at home. My favorite flavors include:
- Tomato + Basil
- Artichoke + Spinach
- Tomato + Cremini
All I add to these flatbreads is a sprinkle of vegan mozzarella (Miyokos is my favorite). You could add some goat cheese, white cheddar … whatever you love most to make it truly feel like a healthier slice of pizza.

Entertaining tip: Make a few and serve them up for a small dinner party for an impressive appetizer without much effort!
Soups
What goes better with a flatbread than a soup? The Daily Harvest soups are light and full of flavor. Most of them are made purely of veggies, so if you’re looking to satisfy hunger, you might want to consider adding some additional protein to your meal.
My favorite soup flavors include:
- Tomato + Zucchini Minestrone
- Green Chickpea + Turmeric
- Butternut Squash + Rosemary

Scoops
Coming from someone who is known for once having a bowl of ice cream every night, I vouch that these Daily Harvest scoops are better than what you’re going to find in the freezer aisle of the grocery store.
They are dairy-free and only made with real ingredients. You’re not going to find anything listed on the ingredients that you wouldn’t have in your own kitchen.

Even though this ice cream is made with minimal ingredients, I wouldn’t recommend a scoop every night. It is still high in sugar, so should be reserved for the occasional treat!
My favorite scoop flavors include Mint + Dark, Melty Cacao Chips, Vanilla + Sticky, Sweet Salted Caramel and Strawberry + Rich, Rippled Berry Compote.
If you’re looking to get back to healthy habits, but crave some help getting started, I would recommend giving Daily Harvest a try. Having wholesome, organic options readily available in the freezer leaves room for no excuses to opt for a more nutritious meal.
